Welcome to Godinterest on Substack
A new chapter, the same calling
There comes a moment in the life of any platform when it must decide not just where it is going — but how it wants to get there.
For us, that moment is now.
Welcome to Godinterest on Substack — currently at godinterest.substack.com, and, in time, possibly evolving into something more permanent such as community.godinterest.com. The name may change. The format may evolve. But the purpose remains the same.
And it always has.
Where We’ve Come From
Godinterest was never simply a website. It has always been an idea — a belief that Christian thought, reflection, and creativity deserve a meaningful place in the digital world.
Founded in 2012 by Dean Jones, Godinterest began as an experiment in how faith could be expressed online — visually, thoughtfully, and without the constraints of denomination or tradition.
Over the years, it has taken many forms:
A visual platform exploring faith and inspiration
A community space engaging culture and belief
A blog focused on deeper reflection, commentary, and discussion
Each phase reflected something larger: the reality that technology changes, audiences shift, but the need for thoughtful Christian engagement does not.
Why Substack — and Why Now?
We have chosen Substack, for now, not as a final destination but as a strategic step forward.
It offers something simple but powerful:
Direct communication
A built-in community
Space for dialogue, not just publishing
In a digital world increasingly shaped by algorithms and noise, Substack allows us to reconnect with something more intentional — a readership that chooses to be here.
We are grateful that many of you have already joined us. We’ve brought over our subscriber base from Godinterest so that you can continue this journey with us — not as passive readers, but as participants.
What You Can Expect
In this early phase, we are keeping things simple and focused.
You will see:
Selected posts from Godinterest.com — curated, refined, and reintroduced
Exclusive content written specifically for this space
Reflections on faith, culture, and modern life
Occasional deeper essays that go beyond what we’ve done before
This is not about volume. It is about quality, clarity, and purpose.
Over time, this space will grow — not just in content, but in voice.
An Invitation to Writers
Godinterest has never been about a single voice.
To those who have written with us before — and to those who feel called to contribute — this is your invitation.
We are opening this space to:
Thoughtful Christian writers
Contributors with insight, honesty, and conviction
Those willing to engage faith not as performance, but as truth
If you have walked with us before, you are welcome here again.
If you are new, but feel aligned with what we are building — you are welcome too.
What This Really Is
This is not just a migration to a new platform.
It is a return to something foundational.
Godinterest has always existed to:
Promote Christian values
Encourage meaningful engagement with faith
Explore the intersection of belief, culture, and everyday life
That mission does not change.
But the way we express it must.
Where We’re Going
We don’t yet know whether this will remain godinterest.substack.com, become community.godinterest.com, or evolve into something else entirely.
And that is intentional.
Because this stage is not about final form — it is about building the right foundation.
We are moving:
From platform → to community
From content → to conversation
From publishing → to participation
Step by step.
A Final Thought
Faith has never been static. It has always moved — across generations, cultures, and mediums.
The early church met in homes.
Later, in cathedrals.
Today, we meet in digital spaces.
But the calling remains the same:
To speak truth.
To reflect deeply.
To engage the world with clarity, humility, and conviction.
That is what Godinterest has always sought to do.
And that is what we will continue to do here.
Welcome to the next chapter.
