1. Purpose of This Statement

This statement explains the historical development of Godinterest and clarifies the status of legacy content published during earlier operational phases of the Platform.

It is intended to provide transparency regarding:

  • The evolution of the Platform;

  • The nature of historical user-generated content;

  • The responsibilities of contributors;

  • The current approach to legacy material.

2. Platform History

Godinterest was originally established as a social media and multi-user publishing platform.

During its early operational years:

  • Hundreds of independent users created accounts;

  • Users uploaded text, images, graphics, and links;

  • The Platform functioned as a hosting environment for user-generated content;

  • Contributors agreed to terms requiring them to ensure they had lawful rights to publish submitted material.

Over time, the Platform transitioned from an open social publishing network to a smaller, curated blog model with limited contributors.

This transition became effective on 1 January 2025.

3. Nature of Legacy Content (Pre-2025)

Content published prior to 1 January 2025 was submitted independently by third-party users.

Godinterest did not:

  • Commission such content;

  • Exercise editorial control over all submissions;

  • Independently verify licensing documentation for each upload;

  • Maintain comprehensive archival licence records for all historic content.

As with many long-standing user-generated platforms, historical content reflects the community-driven nature of the Platform at that time.

4. Responsibility for Historic Submissions

At the time of account creation and content upload, contributors represented and warranted that:

  • They owned or had permission to use the content submitted;

  • Their uploads did not infringe intellectual property rights;

  • They accepted responsibility for their submissions.

Godinterest relied upon those representations.

Accordingly:

  • Responsibility for historic user-generated content remains with the original contributor.

  • The Platform does not accept retroactive liability for independently uploaded materials.

5. Archival Limitations

Due to the age, scale, and historical structure of the Platform:

  • Godinterest does not maintain complete licensing archives dating back many years;

  • The Platform does not conduct retrospective investigations into permissions granted a decade or more ago;

  • It is not feasible to reconstruct historical licensing arrangements for each legacy upload.

The continued presence of legacy content does not constitute a representation that archival documentation exists.

6. Approach to Legacy Content Claims

Godinterest respects intellectual property rights and complies with lawful notice-and-takedown procedures.

Where a valid notice is received regarding historical content:

  • The content may be reviewed;

  • The content may be removed or disabled;

  • The Platform may act conservatively to minimise legal risk.

The Platform’s compliance mechanism is removal-based.

Godinterest does not:

  • Engage in settlement negotiations in response to speculative invoicing practices;

  • Undertake retrospective licensing audits;

  • Accept automatic financial liability for historic third-party uploads.

Any claim for damages must be pursued through a court of competent jurisdiction.

7. Administrative Capacity

Godinterest operates as a limited-resource platform.

As such:

  • The Platform does not provide mediation services between private parties;

  • The Platform does not guarantee individual correspondence regarding historical matters;

  • The Platform may remove content without extended discussion.

The primary remedy offered is removal of disputed content where appropriate.

8. Current Editorial Model (Post-2025)

From 1 January 2025 onward:

  • Publishing access is restricted to a small number of contributors;

  • Content is subject to editorial oversight;

  • New publications are managed under updated governance standards.

This transition does not create retroactive liability for legacy material.

9. Contact
