Copyright Takedown Policy
Effective Date: 1 January 2025
Contact: admin@godinterest.com
1. Introduction
Godinterest operates as an online publishing platform that historically functioned as a multi-user social network and blogging community and now operates as a curated blog platform.
We respect intellectual property rights and expect contributors to do the same.
This policy establishes the procedure for submitting copyright infringement notices and explains how Godinterest handles such notices.
2. Hosting Intermediary Status
Godinterest operates as a hosting intermediary for user-generated content. We do not pre-screen historical uploads and do not claim ownership of user-submitted materials.
3. Submission of Copyright Infringement Notice
Notices must be sent to:
admin@godinterest.com
Incomplete notices may not be processed.
4. Review and Removal Process
Upon receipt of a valid and complete notice:
Godinterest may remove or disable access to the identified content without prior notice to the contributor.
Removal may occur immediately upon review.
Godinterest is not obligated to seek clarification from the contributor before removal.
Godinterest reserves the right to act conservatively and remove disputed content in order to minimise legal risk.
5. Contributor Notification and Response
Where feasible, Godinterest may attempt to notify the original contributor.
However:
Godinterest is under no obligation to notify contributors of takedown requests.
Godinterest is not required to facilitate disputes between private parties.
If a contributor does not respond within a reasonable period, the content will remain removed.
Godinterest is not obligated to restore content absent a valid counter-notification that satisfies legal requirements.
Godinterest does not guarantee individual correspondence or ongoing engagement regarding takedown matters.
6. Administrative Capacity and Communication Limitations
Godinterest operates as a small-scale, non-profit or limited-resource platform.
Accordingly:
We do not provide personalised legal mediation services.
We do not engage in extended correspondence.
We do not conduct retrospective licensing investigations.
We may not respond individually to every communication.
Removal of content may occur without further explanation once a notice is reviewed.
Our compliance mechanism is removal-based. It is not an adjudication service.
7. No Monetary Settlements via Notice Procedure
The purpose of this procedure is removal of allegedly infringing material.
Submission of a notice does not create an entitlement to financial compensation.
Godinterest does not engage in settlement negotiations in response to speculative invoicing or automated bulk copyright claims.
Any monetary claim must be pursued through a court of competent jurisdiction.
8. Historical Content (Pre-2025 Archive)
Godinterest historically hosted content from hundreds of independent contributors.
Users represented at registration that they had the right to upload their materials.
Godinterest does not maintain historic licensing documentation for user uploads dating back many years.
Where a valid notice is received regarding legacy content:
The content may be removed.
Godinterest will not undertake archival licence verification.
No retrospective financial liability is accepted for independent user uploads.
9. Counter-Notification
(Keep counter-notification structure but add:)
Godinterest reserves the right not to restore content where:
No counter-notification is received;
The counter-notification is incomplete;
Restoration would expose the platform to disproportionate legal risk.
10. Abuse of the Notice Process
False or bad-faith claims may have legal consequences.
Godinterest reserves the right to reject incomplete, automated, or abusive notices.
